The Problem

The other day, I was trying to set up a few new blogs. After I got my domain names from Namecheap, I pointed them to my D9Hosting account. Next, I set up accounts in my hosting account for the sites. The next thing I did was to install WordPress.

After downloading the plugin and theme,  I was ready to install OptimizePress.

I tried to upload the plugin using WordPress several times and it failed. I checked the maximum upload file settings in Cpanel and set them to 128mb. Still, the plugin would not load. Then, I remembered that I have FileZilla – the FREE FTP transfer program. I opened up Filezilla and uploaded the plugin. YES! It worked.

What I learned from this experience

When I get stuck doing a task and can’t get tech support, I need to think of alternative ways of completing a task.

Lesson learned: Don’t waste all day on a problem. Find another way or move on to something else until you find a solution to your problem.
